About Dental Implants and Prosthetics in Twin Falls, ID

Restoring More Than Smiles

At Dental Implants and Prosthetics, we know dental problems can affect far more than the way your smile looks. Missing teeth, uncomfortable dentures, damaged teeth, and complex restorative needs can make eating, speaking, and even everyday social situations more difficult. Led by Dr. Paul Romriell, DMD, our Twin Falls practice provides dental implants, implant dentures, crowns, bridges, restorative dentistry, extractions, TMJ treatment, and advanced maxillofacial prosthetics. Our approach combines specialized training with personal, compassionate care so patients can feel more comfortable during treatment and more confident in the results they are working toward.

A Passion for Dentistry That Started Early

Dr. Paul Romriell grew up around dentistry, with a father who was also a dentist. From an early age, he saw how much oral health could influence a person’s comfort, confidence, and overall quality of life, especially for people struggling with missing teeth or dentures that did not fit properly. Those experiences shaped his interest in dentistry and eventually led him toward some of the most advanced areas of restorative and prosthetic care.

What stayed with him was not simply the technical side of replacing teeth. He saw how the right treatment could help someone enjoy food again, smile without hesitation, speak more comfortably, and stop planning daily life around a dental problem. That connection between function and confidence became an important part of the way we approach patient care today.

Our goal is to help people feel more like themselves again. Sometimes that means replacing a single missing tooth, while other situations involve rebuilding a bite, improving the fit of dentures, or planning a much more complex restoration.

Dental Implants Planned With the Big Picture in Mind

Dental implants can be an excellent option for replacing missing teeth, but successful treatment involves much more than placing an implant and attaching a tooth. The bite, bone, neighboring teeth, gum tissue, appearance, and long-term restoration all need to work together.

Dr. Romriell’s training includes thousands of dental implant procedures, giving him extensive experience with both the surgical and restorative considerations that influence treatment. We look carefully at each patient’s needs before recommending a plan because the right solution for one person may not be the right choice for another.

Some patients may need a single implant to replace one missing tooth, while others may benefit from implant-supported dentures or a more comprehensive restorative approach. We take the time to explain the options, discuss what each path involves, and help patients understand the reasoning behind the recommendation.

Helping Denture Patients Find Better Comfort and Stability

Poorly fitting dentures can affect nearly every part of the day. Eating can become frustrating, speaking may feel less natural, and worrying about movement or discomfort can make people feel self-conscious in situations they used to enjoy.

Our experience with dentures and implant-supported prosthetics allows us to look at those concerns from both a functional and restorative perspective. Rather than assuming every denture issue requires the same solution, we evaluate fit, support, bite, anatomy, and the patient’s personal goals before discussing available options.

For some patients, improving or replacing a conventional denture may be appropriate. Others may want to explore implant dentures for greater support and stability. Our role is to help you understand what is realistic for your situation and what approach may best support comfort, function, and confidence over time.

Restorative Dentistry With Precision and Purpose

Not every patient who comes to Dental Implants and Prosthetics needs advanced implant or maxillofacial treatment. We also provide restorative dentistry for people dealing with damaged, worn, weakened, or missing teeth, including crowns, bridges, and other treatments designed to restore everyday function.

The goal of restorative dentistry is not simply to make a tooth look better. A restoration should work comfortably with the surrounding teeth, support an appropriate bite, and be planned with long-term use in mind.

Dr. Romriell’s prosthodontic background brings an added level of focus to those details. Whether the case involves one crown or a more extensive reconstruction, we consider how each part of the treatment fits into the overall health and function of the mouth.

Maxillofacial Prosthetics for Patients With Complex Needs

Some dental and facial restoration needs go far beyond traditional restorative dentistry. Patients who have experienced head and neck cancer, facial surgery, traumatic injury, or other complex conditions may require highly specialized prosthetic treatment to restore missing structures and support function.

Maxillofacial prosthetics requires close coordination, detailed planning, and a deep understanding of both anatomy and prosthetic design. Dr. Romriell’s fellowship training and experience with complex cases allow our practice to provide care for patients whose needs may be difficult to address in a conventional dental setting.

We understand that these situations can be physically and emotionally challenging. Our approach is to combine technical precision with compassion, helping patients feel informed and supported while working toward the best possible functional and aesthetic result.

Advanced Training for Both Everyday and Complex Cases

Dr. Romriell earned his dental degree from the University of Louisville before completing a three-year prosthodontic residency at Indiana University. During that advanced specialty training, he served as chief resident for two years and gained extensive experience with dental implants, crowns, bridges, dentures, and comprehensive restorative treatment.

He then completed a fellowship in maxillofacial prosthetics, a highly specialized field focused on restoring dental and facial structures affected by disease, surgery, trauma, or congenital conditions. His fellowship experience included participation with the tumor board at Simon Cancer Center and work involving surgical guides and prosthetic solutions for patients undergoing treatment for head and neck cancer.

That training makes Dr. Romriell Idaho’s only Maxillofacial Prosthodontist. For our patients, that means access to a level of expertise that can be valuable not only for highly complex cases, but also for more common restorative needs where precision, planning, and long-term function matter.

Coming Home to Serve the Idaho Community

After completing advanced training and gaining experience with specialized cases, Dr. Romriell made the decision to return to his hometown in Idaho. Rather than continuing to pursue opportunities on a national stage, he wanted to be close to family, friends, and the community that had helped shape him.

That decision says a lot about the kind of practice we want Dental Implants and Prosthetics to be. Advanced training is important, but so is being available to the people who live here and providing specialized care in a setting that feels personal rather than distant or impersonal.

We want patients to feel like they are working with a team that understands both the complexity of their dental needs and the importance of being treated with patience and respect. That balance of expertise and personal attention remains central to the way we care for people.

A More Comfortable, Less Stressful Dental Experience

We know many people feel anxious about dental treatment, particularly when they have experienced discomfort for a long time or know they may need significant restorative work. That is why creating a calm, supportive environment is an important part of our approach.

From the first conversation, we focus on understanding what is bothering you, what you hope to change, and what concerns you may have about treatment. We want patients to feel comfortable asking questions and taking the time they need to understand their options.

There is no benefit in making a complicated dental situation feel even more intimidating. Our job is to explain things clearly, develop a thoughtful treatment plan, and help you move through the process with greater confidence.

Personalized Care Instead of One-Size-Fits-All Treatment

Complex dentistry rarely has a meaningful one-size-fits-all solution. Two patients may both be missing teeth but have completely different bone conditions, bites, health histories, goals, and expectations, which means their treatment plans may need to look very different.

We take those differences seriously and build recommendations around the individual rather than the procedure. Advanced technology and specialized techniques may support treatment planning, but they are most useful when combined with experience, careful evaluation, and a clear understanding of what the patient wants to achieve.

That personalized approach also means we consider long-term results, not simply what looks good immediately after treatment. Our focus is on restoring health, function, appearance, and confidence in a way that makes sense for the person sitting in front of us.
